Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., begins at 9 a.m., and includes blessing of the assembled prayer shawls and a Service of Healing.The Service of Healing with prayers and the "laying on of hands" is said for those with emotional, physical or spiritual burdens to help one's loads become lightened.Guest pastor, the Rev. Robert Mitchell, presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.Prayer shawls are hand made, each stitch a spiritual practice. Prayer shawls wrap, comfort, shelter, beautify, and celebrate love. The shawls are available free to people as a means of feeling the Lord's unconditional embrace.First Tuesday quiet communion will be observed at 10 a.m. next Tuesday.The Rev. Nancy Moore is the designated pastor at Trinity. For those desiring spiritual services such as baptisms, weddings or seeking church membership are asked to contact the church office at 610-377-4303 for an appointment in order to meet with Rev. Moore when she is available on Fridays.Weekly Sunday School classes for young people ages 3 though grade 12 begin Sept. 7.Special Rally Day activities will take place in Luther Hall starting at 10:30 a.m.Bethany E.C. ChurchSunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor, will take place at 10:45 a.m.Sunday school will be held at 9:30 a.m. Classes are for all ages, including Adult Bible Study class.Ladies Bible study is Tuesday at 10 a.m.Prayer Meeting is 7 p.m. Wednesday.
