EASTON (AP) An eastern Pennsylvania man is pleading guilty to simple assault and resisting arrest for what police say was a drunken fight with family members at his sister's baby shower in June.
The Express-Times of Easton reported Tuesday that 21-year-old Justin Hendershot of Catasauqua was sentenced to 4 to 23 months in jail, with credit for time he's already served. The newspaper says he'll be paroled once he has a spot in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.Authorities say that after drinking alcohol, Hendershot became belligerent and grabbed his sister, wrestled with his father and was struck on the back with a table leg before going upstairs and jumping onto a roof and running away.Police later caught him and an officer injured his knee taking him into custody.
