Jordan Leon Bruce, 27, of Apt. 2, 526 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, has been arrested by Jim Thorpe police for simple assault, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and harassment stemming from a domestic dispute in which police were called to the apartment at 1:20 p.m. June 26.

Police said upon arrival, a woman at same address advised them she and Bruce had been arguing that day when the argument turned physical. She told police Bruce grabbed her by the wrists and held her to the ground by her neck, sitting on her face and telling her he was going to kill her and her family. Police said they observed physical injuries on the woman that were consistent with her claims.Police said they located Bruce and an infant at the kitchen table of the home, where they detected a strong odor of marijuana. Bruce claimed the woman had attacked him.The victim told police Bruce smokes marijuana all day. She showed police a glass marijuana pipe with burnt residue in it and a small amount of marijuana, both which she said belonged to Bruce.
