August 22, 1961 Keith Miller pitches a one-hitter and Bob Hodor delivers at the plate as Jim Thorpe shuts out Nesquehoning, 5-0, in a Panther Valley Little League tournament game. Miller walks four, strikes out three and receives early offensive support (two runs in both the first and second innings) from his teammates. Hodor finishes with a single, double, homer and three runs scored. Mike Paulas adds a pair of hits and a run while Mike Tessitore chips in with a hit and run scored.
