Lehighton man arrested for stolen credit card

Mahoning Township Police have charged a Lehighton man with using a stolen credit card.

On Thursday, police received a report that a credit card was stolen from a Slatington resident on Tuesday at Country Junction in Lehighton.

The stolen card was used the same day at the Mahoning Township Walmart to purchase electronics valued at $223.60.

The investigating officer reviewed Walmart security video and identified the card user from prior contact as Kyle Hagenbuch of Lehighton.

On Friday, Hagenbuch was arrested at the adult probation office in Jim Thorpe.

Hagenbuch has been charged with forgery, access device fraud and receiving stolen property.

He was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek in Lansford and committed to the Carbon County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The merchandise was not recovered.
