Schuylkill County Commissioners hired a Harrisburg law firm of Eckert-Seamans to begin the process of selling Rest Haven.

The county will pay the firm $250,000 for professional services and up to $10,000 for travel and other expenses.

Commissioners will require new owners to continue access to indigent and provide long term care.

Rest Haven is $4.6 million in the red.
