A Carbon County driver was injured when he crashed his vehicle along a Lehigh County road after avoiding a deer.

State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday along Mountain Road in Lynn Township. Troopers said Douglas J. Ahner, 50, of Jim Thorpe, was driving a 1995 Ford F-350 truck when he said he swerved to avoid a deer, causing him to lose control. The truck rolled over onto its side.Ahner was taken by Cetronia ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, for treatment of what troopers said was a moderate injury.
