A Monroe County woman is facing charges following a domestic incident that occurred at 5:08 p.m. Aug. 14.

State police at Fern Ridge said a man was at his residence at 1569 Olympic Way in Chestnuthill Township, picking up medication. While he was speaking with his children, his wife, Darlene Howard, 50, interrupted and they entered into a verbal argument.The argument became progressively worse, troopers said, and the man decided to leave. As he was getting into his vehicle, his wife struck him several times in the head. He was able to push her away and close the door on his vehicle and drive away.Darlene Howard was charged with harassment.
