August 16, 1963 Len Sicenavage's head-up play in the bottom of the fifth inning provides the winning run in Coaldale's 6-5 Panther Valley Little League tournament victory over Tamaqua. With the score tied and the bases loaded, Tamaqua's pitcher fields a grounder and throws home for a force out. Sicenavage, however, continues running after the pitcher turns his back and scores the go-ahead run. John Slaby collects a pair of hits, one a three-run homer, for the winners while Orville Murphy adds two hits and a run. Bob Roncek chips in with a hit and run.
