Tamaqua group plansSummit Hill car show

The newly reorganized Tamaqua Street Machines Association is planning an Antique, Classic and Special Interest Car Show at Phillip Ginter Field in Summit Hill on Sept. 21. Co-sponsoring the event is the Summit Hill Diligence Fire Company.

The show will be open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in various categories, with judging to be done by the public. Classes will include: stock 1900-1964; stock 1965-1989; 1964-1973 Mustangs; 1953-1989 Corvettes; 1969-1989 Camaros and Firebirds; foreign sports cars to 1989; commercial trucks to 1989; stock factory muscle cars between 1961 and 1974; metal body street rods to 1960; fiberglass body street cars (kit cars); street machines from 1961-1999; custom trucks, including vans, to present; special interest stocks to present (Ford, GM and Chrysler); special interest modifieds to present (Chrysler, Ford and GM); special interest modified foreign cars.
