N. Lehigh offers preschool program

A preschool program for low-income children will again be offered this year in the Northern Lehigh School District.

On a 7-0 measure, the school board on Monday authorized Community Services for Children to operate the Head Start Pre-K program at Peters Elementary School. Directors Gregory Williams and Natalie Green were absent.The program will run at Peters Elementary School from September 2014 through the end of May 2015. The only obligation of the district is to provide one classroom.Assistant Superintendent Karen Nicholas said the district is excited to continue its collaboration with Community Services for Children and Head Start."We value the program," Nicholas said.
