A former Tamaqua man now living in Scranton has been charged by Tamaqua police after a check bounced.

William Yalowey, 41, moved from 21 Schuylkill Ave., to 1718 Wayne Ave., Scranton in May. Before leaving the area he wrote a check to cover four months back rent for his landlord. Two weeks later the check was returned, marked as insufficient funds.Efforts to resolve the issue failed and Yalowey was charged with issuing a bad check.
