State police in Upper Macungie Township are investigating a road rage incident in which a man pointed a gun at a passing motorist.
The incident happened at 11:40 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Route 222 and Grim Road in Upper Macungie Township.Police said they were called to the area of Route 222 and Route 100 for a road rage incident involving a gun. Police said Robert Skidmore of Macungie told them while he was merging onto Route 222 southbound from Route 100, another driver in a white Acura TSX with a Florida license plate became agitated with him as he was passing.Skidmore said when he approached Grim Road, the other driver, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with short hair, pointed a dark-colored pistol at him. Skidmore said he continued south on Route 100 while the unknown male drove south on Route 222.
