tahner@tnonline.comLehighton residents are urged to be on the lookout for a man attempting to impersonate a police officer.One such incident occurred at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, when borough police were called to a home at 176 S. Second St. for a man knocking on the door identifying himself as a police officer.Borough police officer Robert DeFuso said the suspect was described as a white male with short brown hair, wearing a blue Polo shirt.The man was said to be driving a smaller-size white vehicle with solid blue lights on the top, DeFuso said.Residents who suspect such activity are urged to call 911, he said.
