A traffic stop on Lafayette Avenue in Hometown on June 29 resulted in charges being filed against a Lansford woman.
Stephanie Chapman, 32, was stopped by police at 1:33 a.m. that day. After officers detected signs of intoxication, Chapman was taken to Schuylkill Medical Center South in Pottsville, for blood tests.Test results indicate she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.251 percent, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while under DUI suspension and several traffic offenses.
