Last evening, July 10, I attended the "Concert Under the Stars" right here in our Lehighton Park. What a fine concert it was, with our Lehighton Band celebrating 150 years. 150 years of LOCAL musical talent.We, the people of Lehighton, are truly blessed, for in addition to our great Lehighton Band, we have the Lehighton Boys & Girls Band and the Zion Opera Workshop.We have all of this right here, the opportunity to see and hear live performances by these three fine groups of musicians, and actors and actresses, who give up a great deal of their time to study, prepare and rehearse.That we can attend their excellent concerts and shows, in peace and tranquility, and so easily accessible to us, is something even our high leaders cannot do.Yes, indeed, we are truly blessed.
