August 2, 1999 Jim Thorpe hits four home runs, two by Mike Deacy, to cruise to a 26-5 victory over Nesquehoning and clinch at least a tie for the Panther Valley Little League tournament championship. Deacy finishes with four hits and four runs scored. Billy McHose and Jason Figura also go deep for the winners, who bang out 22 hits in the contest. McHose ends with five hits and four runs while Figura collects three hits and three runs. Thorpe also receives two hits from Kyle Cooper, Justin Young, Lee Smith and Joe Meriano.
