A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lehigh County on Wednesday. State police at Fogelsville said the incident occurred at 5:54 p.m. along Mountain Road in Lower Macungie Township.

Troopers said Gregory B. Tyson, 47, of Breinigsville, was operating a 2001 Yamaha XV9660 bike southbound and approaching a slight right curve in the road while Brooke F. Young Jr., 70, of Macungie, was northbound driving a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox.Tyson failed to negotiate the curve and entered the northbound lane. Young swerved to avoid a collision, going partially off the road. The bike struck the Equinox at that point.Tyson was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead by deputy coroner George Wirth. Young sustained a minor injury.
