A vehicle stop led to drug charges pending against a Lehigh County teen.

State police at Lehighton said Chase Copes, 18, of Whitehall, was stopped at 10:43 a.m. on Monday along Route 248 at Club Road in Parryville for traffic violations.At the stop troopers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Copes showed the trooper a plastic container filled with marijuana. Drug paraphernalia was also seized.Troopers said drug charges will be filed against Copes.
