Monroe traffic stop leads to charges

A traffic stop in Monroe County on Monday, July 28, led to the jailing of the driver and the arrest of his passenger.

State police at Fern Ridge said Robert Edmund Pavelski, 32, of Kunkletown, was stopped at 8:27 p.m. at the intersection of Weir Lake Road and Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township for a motor vehicle code violation.At the stop it was learned that there was an outstanding warrant for Pavelski's arrest. He was arrested and placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the warrant. As a result of the stop he was also charged with multiple summary traffic violations including driving while under suspension-DUI related, and also possession of drug paraphernalia.His passenger, Nicole Ashley Caceres, 20, of Kunkletown, was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was found to be in possession of prescription pills which were not prescribed for her.
