Kenny Rogers announced for Penn's Peak

Megastar Kenny Rogers is coming to Penn's Peak.

The sensational performer will be bringing his highly acclaimed annual Christmas show to the venue at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20.With him will be country singer Linda Davis. Tickets are $55 and $65.It's one of three new shows announced for Penn's Peak.Uriah Heep has set a date for Friday, Sept. 26. Tickets are $22 in advance and $27 on the night of the concert.Dark Star Orchestra presents its annual Thanksgiving Eve show on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Tickets are $24 in advance and $29 on the day of the show.For Dark Star Orchestra, tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday.Tickets for the other two concerts will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday.Penn's Peak Sneak Club members can purchase tickets immediately. She and Reba had a major hit with the song "Does He Love You."Uriah Heep is an English rock band. It the 1970s, it was regarded as one of the "big four of hard rock." It is named for the Dickens' character Uriah Heep.Founder Mike Box plays lead guitar for the band.Having just celebrated their 16th anniversary, Dark Star Orchestra reached their biggest milestone yet earlier this year: surpassing the Grateful Dead in number of shows played 2,318 in almost half the time of The Dead's 30 years of playing together.Re-creating historic Grateful Dead set lists and intermittently crafting their own, Dark Star Orchestra offers a continually evolving artistic outlet within the Grateful Dead's musical canon.
