State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a burglary and theft incidents.

The break-in occurred at the home of Falinda Frailey, 1352 Twin Pine Road in Scotrun. Entry was made sometime between July 9-18, by forcing open the front door. Nothing was taken, troopers said.A bus owned by Carco Automotive Inc., was entered while parked on a lot at the Valero Truck Stop, located along Route 534 in East Side Boro. Electronic equipment was taken. The incident occurred sometime between July 21-25.Troopers said six state inspection stickers were removed from a lock drawer at Kost Tire & Auto, located along Route 209 in Brodheadsville. The incident occurred sometime between June 1-3.A retail theft incident at Maxi Cigars, located in Chestnuthill Township, is being investigated. A white male was observed on video surveillance removing a carton of cigarettes from a shelf and putting it under his shirt then leaving the store without paying for it. The incident occurred at 12:36 p.m. on July 20.
