A tree that fell during Wednesday night's storm rests on Carbon County Courthouse phone lines and the Jim Thorpe Post Office on Route 209 in Jim Thorpe. What could be safely removed without damaging the lines or property was removed by a professional tree service. The remaining part of the tree was secured until Verizon could get to the scene.
