A New Ringgold man was injured when a bicycle he was riding on Wednesday at 3:03 p.m. was struck by a pickup truck along Route 895 in East Brunswick Township.
Harry Zaprazny, 44, suffered a cut on his left elbow, according to state police at the Frackville barracks, who said the man refused medical treatment to a hospital.Police said he was riding his mountain bike on the north berm of Route 895 and was traveling west when the passenger's side of a 2001 GMC 3500, which was also traveling west, struck Zaprazny from behind, throwing him onto a grassy area.The truck was driven by Michael Kemmerer, 25, of Tamaqua, who police said will be charged with a Pa. Vehicle Code violation relating to overtaking a vehicle on the left.Police were assisted at the scene by the New Ringgold and Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS units.
