Another thunderstorm is moving through the region, knocking down trees and wires as it goes.

"Trees are down all over the place" according to scanner reports. Crews are out at the 600 and 900 blocks of E. Catawissa Street in Nesquehoning, as well as other areas.

Fire police are being called to the area to assist with traffic control.

PPL is reporting 230 customers without power in Nesquehoning. A handful of people are out in other areas of the county.

A tree is also down at Route 209 near the Subway in Jim Thorpe. Cars are able to drive around the tree, but drivers need to be careful.

Lightning struck a chimney in Lansford late this afternoon.
