July 23, 2001 Casey Hedash does a solid job on the mound and his offense supplies him with more than enough runs as Franklin Township #1 defeats Lansford, 10-2, in a battle of unbeatens in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. Hedash pitches a five-hitter and strikes out 11 batters. Jesse Strawser clubs a two-run homer while Eric Berger collects three hits (single, double, triple) and scores two runs. The winners, who go on to claim the tourney's title, also receive three hits and three RBIs from Greg Steigerwalt and a pair of hits from Thad Kosciolek.
