A 25-year-old man will face charges after attempting what turned out to be a hot, three-wheel ride between Hometown and Carbon County.

According to Rush Township police, Maximilian Wing of Jim Thorpe had just bought a 1985 Honda three-wheeler when he decided to drive it from the 700 block of Claremont Avenue, just below East Main Street, to the borough of Jim Thorpe.While riding on Route 54, the Hauto Highway, the three-wheeler caught fire, causing Wing to lose control and crash just west of the entrance to Lake Hauto. There were no injuries.Police said Wing is facing multiple charges.
