Bids on the proposed new elementary school building in Nesquehoning were opened in Harrisburg. Unofficial low bids were submitted by B.F. Ziegler, Hazleton, $301,295, general construction; George F. DeLailo, Hazleton, $47,830, heating and ventilation; C.H. Sherry, West Hazleton, $21,051, plumbing; and William A. Donmoyer Co., Allentown, $32,986, electrical work.

Contracts will be awarded in the near future. The new building will contain 12 classrooms, two kindergarten rooms, health room, storage rooms and an office.
