Carbon County Commissioners opened bids for eight home rehabilitation program projects, made to help low-income residents fix problems in their homes.

Through Act 137, recipients can receive up to $12,000 in funding. Those funds are then used to repair necessary items such as heating systems, roofing, siding or electrical and plumbing systems.At the time, there were 200 home rehabilitation projects on a waiting list. The program has rehabilitated over 300 homes since its start in 1994.
