Nesquehoning police reported on the following citations issued during the period of July 3-6.

Delores J. Shafer, of 404 Mahoning St., Lehighton, was charged with driving while under suspension. She was stopped for speeding, 44 mph in a 25 zone at Oak and Catawissa streets, and found to be under suspension. Officer Robert Blisard made the arrest.Blisard also issued another speeding citation, 43 in a 25 zone, at the same location.Jose Valerde, of 125 Clay St., Hazleton, was stopped by Officer Dane O'Brien along East Catawissa Street for driving under suspension.Police also gave out nine warning notices for speeding and seat belt violations.Chief Sean Smith said his department will be participating in the statewide aggressive driving enforcement which starts July 7 and continues to Aug. 31.
