The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted an age compliance checks operation in Carbon County on Saturday between 5 and 11 p.m.

Five licensed establishments were checked with all found to be in compliance, meaning they did not sell alcohol to the supervised underage individuals trained by the liquor agents.Those in compliance were KYIN Inc., trading as Griff's Ale Haus & Grille, and LH Group, both of Lehighton. In Jim Thorpe were Trattoria 903, Wheel's Restaurant, trading as Wheel's Restaurant, and Yunda Verme.
