Compliance checks conducted

The Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted an age compliance check detail in Schuylkill County on June 26, between 4 p.m. and midnight.

A total of nine licensed establishments were checked during the operation with one found to be in noncompliance, meaning it served alcohol to underage individuals trained and supervised by liquor board agents.The eight found to be in compliance, meaning they did not sell alcohol to the underage individuals, were: McHugh's Brews Inc., 2067 West Penn Pike in New Ringgold and Sandra M. Sherman, trading as Sandy's Showbar, 1104 Penn Drive in West Penn Township.In Tamaqua, Pine Street Tamaqua Inc., 401-403 Pine St.; Lawrence J. Padora/Carolyn Padora, trading as Padora's Six Pack House, 209 Railroad St.; William J. Murphy Inc., trading as William Murphy Beer Distributor, 435-443 Pine St.; and Freddy's Pub, 14-16 Mauch Chunk St.Also, Hegins Inn Inc., trading as Hegins Inn, 673 E. Main St., Hegins; and Jack's Spot Inc., trading as Jack's Spot, Route 125 and Franklin Square, in the village of Pitman.
