Lehighton man facing charges

A Lehighton man is facing charges, including burglary, for an incident in Nesquehoning.

Nesquehoning officer Dane O'Brien has charged Marc Joseph Digilio, 27, of 392 S. Second St., with one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and receiving stolen property, all felonies.Digilio is accused of entering the residence of Kevin Kane, 110 W. Railroad St., and removing two iPads and several pieces of jewelry. The break-in was reported by the victim on March 12.Through the course of an investigation O'Brien tracked down one of the iPads and learned that Digilio had sold it to another person. Digilio was interviewed by the officer.According to the affidavit of probable cause, Digilio admitted to forcing his way into the Kane residence through a rear basement door and stealing one iPad and various pieces of jewelry. He also admitted selling the iPad to another person and pawning the jewelry at a Lehighton pawnshop.He told O'Brien he committed the crimes to support a heroin addiction.
