The Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board cited two Schuylkill County businesses for violation of the state liquor code.

L&P Holdings, LLC, trading as Encounters Tavern, 106 Market St., Port Carbon, was cited for failure to have their board-approved manager complete RAMP training within 180 days of the board's approval of the appointment.Slapjacks Inc., 500 Pottsville St., Minersville, was cited for possessed or operated gambling devices, or paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries, poolselling and/or bookmaking on the licensed premises.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
