A Tamaqua man was cited following a domestic incident in the borough on June 21.

Officers were dispatched to 14 S. Lehigh St. at 9:20 p.m. At the scene, they spoke with a woman who said her boyfriend, Larry Keiser, 48, had been drinking and began hitting her on her head, using an open hand. The hitting started around 3 p.m. and continued off and on throughout the afternoon and evening.At 9 p.m., the woman said she was upset because she had a migraine and was "in the living room all by herself." At that time, Keiser pulled her hair and punched her on the right arm, causing her to call the police.She was transported by ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital Miners Campus, Coaldale.Keiser was citedfor simple assault and harassment.
