A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 5:59 a.m on Thursday.
State police at Frackville said Brooks Bryan, 37, and his wife, identified as a 28-year-old female, from Ringtown, were visiting a friend, Jim Antoinelli, 48, at his home at 10 Chestnut St., village of Brandonville, East Union Township.Following a night of heavy drinking, Antoinelli requested that Bryan and his wife stay overnight to avoid drinking drunk. The couple went to bed but Bryan then became disruptive and left the bedroom that he and his wife were sharing.After this, the wife locked the door and barred it with furniture. Bryan then went outside the home and around to the bedroom window. After drawing his wife to the window by knocking, he punched his wife through the window, hitting her in the mouth. Bryan then fled the scene in his vehicle.He was later stopped by Mahanoy City police. Troopers said they will charge Bryan with simple assault and criminal mischief. Troopers also indicated that Mahanoy City police have drunken driving charges pending against Bryan.
