Rosemary Porembo was elevated from acting superintendent to superintendent for the Panther Valley School District with a 9-0 vote at a school board meeting.

She replaced J. Christopher West, who departed from the position in August 2007.Previously, Porembo was the elementary school principal.Also decided at the meeting was a new policy requiring school employees and students to pay a $10 fee to park on school grounds.
