A Monroe County man is facing a charge of retail theft.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were called to the Walmart store in Mount Pocono at 1:48 a.m. on June 15 for a theft report. Store security had a person detained for retail theft.On scene, officers were told that Vito A. Sgro, 62, of Long Pond, was observed by security concealing numerous items and switching price tags on numerous items and then exiting the store without properly paying for all the merchandise. Total value of the items was $133.59.Sgro was charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.
