June 25, 1983 Four football players from the Times News area compete in the LARC Grid Classic, held at Easton's Cottingham Stadium. Northern Lehigh's Darrin Evans and Derrick Fatzinger, as well as Northwestern's Matt Saltzer and Pharon Metzger, participate in the contest, which pits All-Stars from Lehigh County against ones from Northampton County. Northampton wins the game 6-0 on a pair of field goals by Easton's Jack Williams. Officials from the TN area who donated their services include Glenn Rissmiller of Walnutport and Jack Evans, formerly of Coaldale.
