Monroe woman facing charges

Mandy Heier, 31, of Henryville, is facing multiple charges filed against her by the Pocono Mountain Regional Police as a result of an investigation police initiated after receiving a third-party complaint.

Police said the arrests followed a prescription drug fraud investigation and came at 5:11 p.m. June 23.Through the investigation, police said it was determined Heier had been creating false prescriptions for drugs under someone else's name and was picking them up at area pharmacies.She is charged with unlawful use of a computer, computer trespass, identity theft, forgery and criminal use of a communications facility.She was also charged with several counts under the Drug Device and Cosmetic Act, including possession of a controlled substance, person not licensed, acquiring a controlled substance by fraud/deception, administration of a controlled substance by a medical practitioner and counterfeiting or simulating a mark or stamp.She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Flugel and released on $10,000 bail.
