State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an attempted burglary at a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said the incident occurred at Cougle's Recycling Center, located at 800 W. Market St., in Auburn.Troopers said unknown criminals arrived at the property and went to the rear of the building. There they attempted to open a locked sliding metal door. In doing so they damaged the hardware of the locking mechanism that secured the door but were unable to gain entry to the building. They then fled the scene.The incident occurred sometime overnight of June 6-7.
