Tuscarora State Park naturalist is offering a basic kayaking course this summer.

Classes will be held: July 4 at 9:30 a.m.; July 18 at 5 p.m.; Aug. 2 at 3 p.m.; and Aug. 9 at 3 p.m.Cost is $15, with checks made payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or in cash to the park office.Equipment will be provided. Maximum weight capacity is 275 pounds.If a person has his/her own equipment, cost is $5 per person. Participants will meet at the "Lakeside Concessions" stand at Tuscarora park. Each child must be accompanied by an adult and be 12 years or older.Call 570-467-2506 or stop by the office to register.The class will be canceled in case of inclement weather.
