Coroner:Tamaqua man was hit in head

Schuylkill County coroner Dr. David Moylan performed a virtual autopsy this afternoon on the body of Jason Hahn, 22, of Andreas. The results indicated blunt force trauma to the left side of Hahn's head, he said in a telephone interview.

However, a full forensic autopsy will be performed at 8 a.m. Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Moylan will be in attendance.

The results of that autopsy will be pending upon toxicology tests, which may take several weeks.

Moylan said he expects to enlist the aid of forensic anthropologist Dennis Dirkmatt of Mercyhurst College in determining the details of Hahn's death.

Hahn's body was found late Saturday afternoon near Silver Creek Road in Blythe Township. He had been missing for about five days after being picked up at the house by Ethan Sullivan, 20, of Saint Clair.

Sullivan has been charged by state police at Frackville with criminal homicide and related crimes. He is in Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville.
