Vehicle stop leads to two arrests

A vehicle stop in Carbon County has led to charges against the driver and passenger.

State police at Fern Ridge said Miguel Angel Colon-Banks, 20, of Philadelphia, was stopped at 2:56 a.m. on Saturday at the Interstate 80 ramp to the turnpike in Kidder Township for a traffic violation.At the stop it was determined that Colon-Banks was driving under the influence of alcohol. A passenger, Shian Skye Pippet, 18, of Pennsauken, New Jersey, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Charges were filed against the driver for DUI and Pippet for drug possession.
