Pocono Mountain police report on several assaults

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on arrests made in assaults, two of which stem from domestic incidents.

On May 24 at 2:03 a.m. officers were dispatched to Brookside Inn in Coolbaugh Township for a report of a fight.Officers spoke with Darious Ferguson of Tobyhanna, who had a laceration to his head. He identified Brandon Sargent of Stroudsburg as the person who threw a drinking glass at him, which smashed on his forehead, causing the injury.Sargent told officers Ferguson had punched him in the face and denied hitting him with a glass. Witnesses on scene told varying stories. Both Ferguson and Sargent were charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.On June 15 at 11:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to 1065 Lexington Ave. in Coolbaugh Township for a domestic incident. Officers spoke to a Bushkill man, who said his ex-girlfriend, identified as Krystal Dippre of Pocono Summit, attacked him and caused injuries. Officers observed the man's shirt was ripped, he had scratches on his chest, and his right eye was red and swollen.Officers spoke with Walter Smith of Pocono Summit, who lives with Dippre, who stated he observed Dippre striking the man.Dippre was placed under arrest for simple assault and harassment and was taken to the county prison in Snydersville to await arraignment.On Tuesday, June 17, at 2:28 a.m. police were called to 203 Flame Drive in the Candlewick development in Tunkhannock Township, for a domestic dispute.On scene officers were met by a 45-year-old East Stroudsburg woman, who stated that David Dippre, 52, of Long Pond, grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground numerous times. The woman received medical attention at the scene and was later transported to the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.Dippre ran off before officers arrived. An arrest warrant has been issued for Dippre charging him with simple assault and harassment.
