Hunter Wolfe golf tournament slated at Woodstone club

The second annual Hunter Wolfe Memorial is being held on Monday, July 14, at Woodstone Country Club in Danielsville. The event honors Hunter, who lost his life in 2011 due to leukemia at the age of 12.

Last year's inaugural event was a success because of all the sponsors, golfers and various donations to the tournament. The event raised more than $13,000 for the Dream Come True-Blue Ridge Chapter.Based on the cost to send a child and his family on a Dream Come True trip, this amount possibly sent two children and their families on a Dream Come True trip."I can't thank everyone enough for all your help in providing these trips to these wonderful children who otherwise would have never had the chance," said his father, Tony Wolfe. "I'm sure Hunter would be incredibly proud of everyone that helped last year."Wolfe hopes to raise even more funds for the children this year with the second annual tournament. This year's titlesponsors for the tournament are PenTeleData and Service Electric Cable TV.
