The Chestnuthill Township board of supervisors held a bill paying and bid awarding meeting on May 19, with supervisors Harry Miller and Chris Eckert attending.

They approved the FOB materials bids, 2-0, totaling over $400,000.Hanson Aggregates was the only bidder for #8 stone with 1 percent loss for $13,500 and for cold patch $46,250. It won the bids for #8 stone for $12,750; #57 stone, $9,250.Eureka Stone won the bids for: #8 stone w/2 percent loss, $20,250; #67 stone for $10,500; #3 stone $5,500; Binder 19.0 mm for $81,675; Wearing 9.5 mmm for $125,475; #2RC $30,000; 2A stone for $18,750; Gabion Stone $14,000.The bid for E-3 Emulsion Oil was awarded to Shiffer Bituminous at $15,000.A $2.50 per mile was included in the cost comparison. Eureka Stone and Hanson Aggregates are both seven miles to the plant from the township and Shiffer Bituminous is six miles from the township.
