A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges, including hit and run, following a crash that occurred about 1 p.m. on June 7.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said David J. Ritter Jr., 66, of Orwigsburg, and David Kilmer, 53, of Auburn, were both driving northbound on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township, with Kilmer in front of Ritter.Kilmer stopped for a red light at the intersection with Route 895. Ritter, traveling too fast, was unable to stop, and the front of his 1998 Saturn sedan hit the rear of Kilmer's 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup. No one was injured.After surveying the damage, Ritter got back in his vehicle and fled the scene. He was later located. Troopers charged Ritter with hit and run to an attended vehicle, failure to give information and render aid, driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance.
