A Luzerne County driver is facing charges following an incident in Jim Thorpe.

State police at Lehighton said Jaryd Joseph Henne, 26, of Hazle Township, was stopped about 5:34 p.m. on May 25 in the area of the Route 209 bridge for an equipment violation.At the stop troopers detected the odor of marijuana and determined that Henne had been smoking marijuana. Troopers said Henne admitted smoking marijuana.Henne failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending.
