A hit-and-run driver is being sought following a crash in Carbon County. State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 10:45 p.m. on May 23 along Route 903, in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said a vehicle was driven northbound behind a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta driven by Courtney D. Vanfossen, 39, of Lehighton. Troopers said the front of the other vehicle struck the rear of Vanfossen's car.After impact the other driver fled north while Vanfossen pulled to the side of the road.Vanfossen and passengers Kayla M. Searfoss, 15, of Jim Thorpe, and Seth M. Vanfossen, 16, of Lehighton, all sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Lehighton hospital by the Lehighton EMS unit.The hit-and-run vehicle was a silver in color older model compact car with a loud muffler and a black stripe on the driver's side door.
